Chaplain Albert's Message

Showing Love for each other.

1Corinthians 13:14-18 KJV

4Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

 5Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

 6Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

7Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

8Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

How can we show that we have the same kind of Love for others that Jesus has for us?   Before you answer this question, lets think about a few things.

Love:
1. Is longsuffering and kind.
2. Is Not being jealous.
3. Does not get all pumped up.
4. Does not behave indecently.
5. Does not look for its own interests.
6. does not become provoked.
7. Does not keep account of the injury.
8. does not rejoice over unrighteousness but, rejoices in the truth.

Ok, We know that love is not all of these things, but there are more that will come to mind as you think about them or you encounter situations in your daily life.

I am happy to say, that as you grow in faith and are filled with the Holy Spirit, Love and Understanding, The Lord, our God will provide you with the strength, courage, peace and comfort necessary as His obedient servant to do His will.

Love:
1. Bares all things.
2. Believes all things.
3. Hopes in all things.
4. Endures all things.
5. Never fails.

1 John 3:14-18 (King James Version)

14We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.

15Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

16Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

17But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?

18My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

1 John 4:7-12 (King James Version)

7Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

8He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

9In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

10Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

11Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

12No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

In closing: There are a number of scriptures that talk about and describe the love for one another as commanded by Jesus in the New Testament.   In the New Testament, believers have one commandment, which is to love as Jesus loved.  If we keep this one commandment we will fulfill all other commandments given to stop sin.

 John 15:12 KJV

12This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
